Economic Impact of Museums and Green Spaces on Community and COVID19’s Impact on them Now and in the Future

Dion Brown, NMBL Strategies’ Managing Director of Nonprofit Services, and Eric Moraczewski, NMBL Strategies’ CEO, are excited to be speaking this Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 4:30pm CST, on Crossroads with Michael Friebele and Kyle Jeffery of CallisonRTKL. Tune in to hear about the economic influence museums and green spaces make upon communities and how that's being impacted by COVID19 now and in the future.

We look forward to engaging audiences on a topic that often is a missed opportunity for museums and green space projects:  We want to share how to better quantify their economic effect on their communities.  Now more than ever, these types of projects need to better explain the incredible impact they can generate both locally and nationally.  Dion and Eric plan on highlighting some of their prior work with the B.B. King Museum, Gateway Arch National Park, and the National Blues Museum.  We will share our experience on how these types of projects can create momentum by reenergizing communities.  In addition, they can be the impetus for the construction of everything from apartments to hotels.  They help create collaborative efforts with government, local community leadership, and private enterprise.  Lastly, they are a great opportunity to garner positive media coverage locally and nationally, highlighting the growth of both a project and a region.

We look forward to sharing more on Thursday with Michael Friebele and Kyle Jeffery of CallisonRTKL, the global architecture firm with work like the US Capitol Visitors Center, Pointe du Hoc, Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, and many others to their name.  They host a series for CRTKL called CROSSROADS, a time where listeners are invited to visit with creative minds to uncover the potential that can come out of a pivotal time in our history.  The interest is always in the conversation and the possible connections that can be made between speakers and the audience, as the group attending represents a number of fields and areas of focus. The audience is open to the public.  Tune in here: CROSSROADS.
